VOIT COMMERCIAL BROKERAGE DIRECTS $10.3 MILLION LEASE FOR FUJI FOOD, INC.

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. (September 4, 2007) – Fuji Food, Inc., a distributor of fresh, ready-to-eat sushi, has signed a 10-year lease for a 91,189 square-foot warehouse and office building for $10.3 million.

“Fuji Food delivers its sushi to grocery stores, clubs and warehouses not only in Southern California, but throughout the United States,” said Mike Hefner of Voit Commercial Brokerage’s Anaheim Metro office. “The building, which is located at 14420 Bloomfield Avenue in Santa Fe Springs, was designed as a food processing facility with extensive interior improvements which were ideally situated for Fuji’s food processing operations.”

The building also offers a strategic distribution location with immediate access to the Santa Ana (5), Riverside (91), and San Gabriel River (605) freeways.

Hefner, along with Mike Cargile of Voit Commercial Brokerage’s Irvine office, represented the lessee, Fuji Food, Inc., in this transaction. Fuji Food, Inc. brands its products under the Fujisan name. Eric Moore of Transwestern represented the lessor, Metropolis Torrance I, LLC.

Fuji Food was founded in 1990 as a family-owned business that offered fresh sushi as a deli item in local markets. Eight years later, the company expanded the business and introduced its fresh sushi to major grocery and warehouse chains.
